OUR RV TOUR + It’s for sale!

UPDATE…IT IS SOLD!

As I write this, I have so many mixed emotions. I didn’t think that when I finally posted about our RV tour, that we would also be selling it. Life is crazy sometimes isn’t it? Before listing all of the specs and other details, let’s go on a tour shall we? You can also watch our RV tour video if you prefer to see it that way. Yes it’s from Christmas, don’t judge me. đŸ˜‰

We are firm believers in starting with what you already have, which is why we went with a Forest River 263BHXL. We already had the truck, so that helped narrow down what RV we could tow with it. This is the PERFECT entry level rig because it’s not overwhelmingly large, can be towed by a half ton truck, and has a lot of the conveniences more expensive rigs have. However, our kids are getting bigger, and we are wanting to switch to something that can grow with our family.

On to the tour! There are two entrances, which is nice! One enters into the main living area and the other goes straight to the bathroom, which helps minimize tracking dirt throughout the whole RV when needing to get to the bathroom.

We hang our jackets and hats on the hooks on the door, and also have a cute little wall organizer for campground brochures, National Park maps, etc.

It has a sleeper sofa, and a U-shaped dinette that also converts into a bed. We have had many movie nights here!

The master is equipped with a queen size bed, a closet on each side, and extra storage space on top. We will more than likely be removing the wall paper headboard, and let whoever owns it next choose what they want to put up there!

Let’s move on to the kitchen! One of my favorite parts about this RV is the pantry. For a family of five, space to store food is a necessity! In the RV tour video I walk you through it all and show you how we store all of our food, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc.

Lastly, is the bathroom, and of course the kids bunks! They are nice and big, and the kids can actually sit up in the top bunk which is huge. We hung a curtain for privacy and it has worked out perfectly!

This is so bittersweet for our family, but we are so excited for the next family that gets to make memories together in here!

Season 1: Our West Coast RV Route

I know I know, it has been a long time since we updated the blog. So hello if you are new here, and hey again if you have been following us since the beginning! We seriously appreciate each of you! I had all the amazing plans to keep this blog updated as we go, but man keeping up with RV life and trying to keep the blog updated is a challenge to say the least! However, we have documented our journey on YouTube if you haven’t seen Season 1 yet, and we always put where we stayed in the description box.

This season was all about finding our travel style, learning ALL. THE. TIME. and enjoying this new found time together as a family. So without further ado, here is our Season 1 West Coast Route and where we stayed. Keep in mind we did about ZERO planning or booking ahead. We usually pull up Campendium and search, however we just got a Thousand Trails camping pass so we will see how that goes. It was definitely one crazy adventure. Also, can we talk about how the route is in the shape of a heart? Mostly because we had to drive to a major city when we were having our generator issues! Did not do that on purpose, but it is so fitting!
